- This program is offered by all the professionals at the CRCC.
- “Social anxiety corresponds to the persistent fear of one or more situations in which the person is likely to be observed by others and as a result, is afraid to do something that could be humiliating or embarrassing.” (Louise Careau)
- This program is divided into three sections:
- An evaluation period (usually 3 individual sessions) in order to assess the diagnosis of the social anxiety and establish the goals of the treatment.
- A treatment period which consists of 14 group sessions based on best practices for the treatment of social anxiety disorder.
- A follow-up period (length of time can vary) that could include group sessions and/or individual sessions.
