To: All current and former employees of member organizations of the Ontario Hospital Association (“OHA”) who paid a share of premiums and were covered by the OHA’s long-term disability policy (Policy No 2100) as of December 29, 1997. Purpose of this Notice The OHA and representatives of its members’ unionized and non-unionized employees have entered into a Settlement Agreement to distribute the proceeds arising from the demutualization of certain insurance policies that Mutual Life had issued to the OHA (the “Proceeds”)

The Hawkesbury & District General Hospital announced today the results achieved in the Emergency Department following the implementation of a comprehensive program launched in September 2009 to improve the service with the financial support of the Champlain Local Health Integration Network. This project is aimed at reducing wait times, accelerating patient flow through the various stages of care and standardizing the professional standards of practice.

The Hawkesbury & District General Hospital, in its ongoing efforts to become a regional health campus from which the whole community, young and old, can receive quality health care, has signed a partnership agreement with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) to offer specialized services to our region’s children and youth.
